Why Maradona’s son did not come to Argentina?
Buenos Aires, September 2, 2012
Diego Maradona Junior explained to Ricardo Fort, why he didn’t come to Argentina to play for the team of El Porvenir directed by Luis Ventura.
The young man had said, “My dream was always to play in Argentina” but now via Skype in the program ‘Fort Night Show’ added, “I’m sorry for not having gone. The fear I had was on television in general. I did not want to be forced to do things.”
And he denied threats, “It’s crazy because for years I have not talked to my dad. At this point in my life I think it is not good for me to be on television.”
“I realize my decision; I want to clarify that was my decision to not go. Nobody gave me money or threatened me.”
Ventura, who was in the studio said: “I was very hurt by his refusal.”
