Buenos Aires Education Minister Esteban Bullrich confirmed and justified the sanction to teachers who parodied him and Mayor Mauricio Macri, while criticized the unions who first questioned the video and then joined the strike.

“A father, who filmed, filed a complaint with the authorities because it was a political act. If this parody would have been of Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, I had made the same decision,” the official said on the radio.

“Teachers have to teach, we are talking about an elementary school. It is an attack on public schools,” Bullrich says.

Furthermore, he repudiated “the use of children aged 7 and 8 years old at the video, teachers push them to act in this parody, against their parents who were not told about it.”

The union announced strikes to protest for the separation of teachers of School No. 3, who were dismissed because of the video.
