Luis D’Elia: “This government can have a thief among us”

Social leader Luis D’Elia surprised with statements made to journalism students ensuring that “all governments are corrupt and that the present can have a thief.”
D’Elia responded on issues of illicit enrichment of public officials when he said, “In every government there is corruption. Menem had 72 officials prosecuted and any prisoner; the new one can have a thief with us.”
However, he avoided to talk on the case against Vice President Amado Boudou and instead chose to blame the press. “It’s very bad for the health of the Republic that newspaper from an economic group with specific interests are prior than court rulings.”
