Carola, Candela’s mother, spoke after a year: “I know who are the killers of my daughter”
Argentina, August 21, 2012
Tomorrow it will be a year since the disappearance and subsequent death of Candela Sol Rodriguez, kidnapped on August 22, 2011 at 3:30 pm at the intersection of Cuirassiers and Perón, 30 meters from her home. Despite the time that has passed, the defendants in the case remain free. Carola Labrador, Candela’s mother, spoke to 24CON and gave her opinion on the case. M24Digital brings you the most important statements.
The defendants in the case are Hector “El Topo” Moreyra, Hugo Bermudez, Gladys Cabrera, Leonardo Jara, Guillermo Lopez, Fabian Gomez Espinola and Nestor Alberto Altamirano.
Moreyra had been accused of hiring the men to avenge Candela’s father, who had a criminal record as “pirate of the asphalt.” Bermudez was accused of being the murderer of the young suffocating her and Jara is accused of kidnapping her. Meanwhile Gomez and Espinola had given logistical and Altamirano and Cabrera would have care for the girl during the kidnapping.
Carola Labrador issued no opinion on the charges on her, but she did confirm that she knows who killed her daughter “I do not speak of the accused, but I know that among those free is the murderer. I took care to investigate each, I know what they buy and eat, and even when they will do the shopping. I’m his first and only enemy. I have this in evidence and the prosecution. The murderer is among eight that were released.”
But the cause is stopped. Carola ensures that the fault was of the first fiscal Marcelo Tavolaro, who was released from the cause. Thus she stated “the new prosecutor (Mario Ferrario) is working. Quietly and slowly but he is working. The police and investigators did their best, as Scioli and Casal, they did what they could. “
Tomorrow, at the first anniversary of her disappearance, family and friends will gather at 3 pm central square in Hurlingham to launch balloons into the sky. “It is because that my daughter loves balloons. So we came up with a balloon release. To remember her with some things she uses to like, to remember her without sadness. Everyone who wants to go can go, and if you cannot, then you can release a balloon in your home, in your neighborhood, to go up to heaven and make Candela happy” concluded Carola Labrador.
