Stunning photos of 2012 National Geographic Contest

The long awaited winners of 2012 National Geographic Photo Contest were revealed.

Eleven stunning photographs have been selected from more than 12,000, of 6,615 photographers from 152 countries worldwide.

Prizes range from a photography expedition in Galapagos to gift certificates of $ 200.

The winning photo was from Cedric Houin for his image titled ‘Butterfly’.
