The new subway cars can not travel on Line A

The owner of SBASE, Juan Pablo Piccardo, explained that the new subway cars that arrived at may not be used by a technical hurdle. In addition, 100 cars were removed for being in poor condition.

“Far from being able to put more cars to move more people, we are having less capacity. There were 600 machines running and Metrovías decided to withdraw 100 in recent weeks because they were not in conditions, “he said.

He explained that the groups that bought the national government may not be used on Line A by a technical hurdle, however may be used in other lines.

“30 cars arrived at the port, of which 4 have already been moved to Metrovías workshops. In principle they will not be able to use the line A, because they have a different voltage, but will temporarily be used on the B line, “said Piccardo.
