According to the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INDEC) a person can have breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner for $ 6 daily.
This means that a typical family with two children, can cover all protein needs by $ 688.37 per month or $ 23 per day.
The foods included are: bread, crackers, meat, poultry, milk, coffee, tea, cheese, eggs, sweets, vegetables, fruits, vegetables and beverages.
They can be consumed in sufficient quantity to meet, says the INDEC, “calories regulatory requirements and essential protein by sex and age of the individuals and family members.”
In addition, the INDEC maintains that typical families that reach $ 688.37 for the basic basket are not indigent.
