The shocking baldness of Naomi Campbell

The supermodel Naomi Campbell, 42, showed a shocking baldness when she enjoyed a holiday in Ibiza earlier this week.

With her hair in a ponytail, Naomi revealed an incredible peeled, which is the result of excessive reliance on extensions in most of her modeling career.

This is not the first time Naomi has raised concerns about hair loss because experts say she suffers from traction alopecia, hair loss caused by using extensions.

The model, originally from Streatham, south London, has used straight hair extensions over her naturally curly hair for many years.

Traction alopecia occurs when the extensions pull on the natural hair causing it to break, and usually affects the hairline just above the forehead or the sides, where the hair is weaker.

Stars including Paris Hilton, Victoria Beckham, Britney Spears and Alexandra Burke are all reported to have suffered traction alopecia as a result of hair extensions.
