Russian President Vladimir Putin was the focus of comments on social networks with an episode that surprised by his unexpected reaction to the kiss of an Orthodox monk.

The Russian president visited the island of Valaam to attend a ceremony in the Monastery of the Transfiguration Valaam. He was met by an entourage of officials and Orthodox monks.
