There are delays in Ezeiza and Jorge Newbey Airport due to the intense fog
Buenos Aires, August 6, 2012
Jorge Newbery and Ezeiza International Airport are affected due to the dense fog, causing flight delays.
The weather phenomenon extends to all access, where visibility is very poor.
The fog, which began last night, caused the suspension of racing at the Hippodrome in Palermo and vehicles were affected on General Paz Highway and the entrances to Buenos Aires city, as well as Buenos Aires-La Plata Highway.
The area of La Plata, Villa Elisa, Gonnet and City Bell were also hit by heavy fog, like other districts in the metropolitan area.
The forecast of National Weather Service (NWS) announced the possibility of banks of fog (low cloud, which makes vision more or less depending on the concentration of droplets that form it).
