At least 20 people were wounded in a shooting that took place in a Sikh temple on the outskirts of Milwaukee, to the south in the town of Oak Creek, along Lake Michigan.
After noon, the head of the shooting had not yet been arrested, while police kept the place surrounded.
Some sources said the attacker might have hostages in the temple. Police did not rule out that there were two people, who began shooting.
More than a dozen ambulances arrived and there are reports of two men who came to Froedert Hospital, the largest in the area of trauma in Milwaukee.
Sikhism is an Indian religion that developed in the context of conflict between the doctrines of Hinduism and Islam during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
