If there is no agreement, no subways for five days

Problems in the subway continue as now unionists announced a strike for the weekend beginning on Friday at 21 hours, if an agreement with the company is not reached.

In addition, the service would be disrupted on Monday and Tuesday.

They are demanding wage increases and the company did not answered in the midst of the fight for the management between the Government of Buenos Aires City and the national Govenment.

Roberto Pianelli, general secretary of the Association of Subway Workers and Premetro (AGTSyP) said that they expect a call from the company to discuss wage increase.

If the call is never made, “on Friday at 9 pm the subway will be closed and on Saturday and Sunday we will not have service,” said the unionist.
