De Mendiguren criticized Biolcati for his statements against the UIA
Argentina, July 29, 2012
Jose Ignacio de Mendiguren, head of the Industrial Union of Argentina (UIA), answered the criticism of Biolcati and said “the best way to interact with the government is through honest, front and constructive discusions.” He also acknowledged differences in both the vision of the country and urged the Rural Society to “have a more positive role for the country”.
The head of the UIA said “our differences with Biolcati exist and are about the kind of country, the role of industrialization in the generation of value is the difference between an economic concept and a liberal vision” adding that “we must end with the antinomy industry-field.”
De Mendiguren thus referred to statements made in the last hours by Biolcati, who criticized the authorities of the UIA for not being present at the opening ceremony of the Rural Expo that took place yesterday in Farm Ferial of La Rural in Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo.
For its part, the UIA said that “we expect the Rural Society to have a more positive role for the country”.
