Whale Trainer Ken Peters lived dramatic moment in 2006 when an orca named Kasatka bit his foot and held him “captive” in the pool for more than 15 minutes.
The video of the attack came to light recently in the midst of litigation against SeaWorld San Diego that is accused of endangering dozens of trainers.
In the video it is possible to see how the orca bite the Peters foot and keeps him in the pool, soaking for long periods, while his teammates try to persuade the animal from the shore.
Apparently, the orca acted that way because of the sound of its offspring who were in another pool.
After long minutes of tension, the trainer manages to get free and swam as fast as he can toward the platform where the orcas often settle for the entertainment of the public.
Shortly after this attack the trainer Dawn Brancheu in Orlando, was killed in February 2010 by the attack of an orca named Tilikum.
