Guillermo Burdisso became the most sought after player being champion with Arsenal and River had a strong commitment to have him in its ranks.
The club offered U$S 1,750,000 for 50% of the pass (half Rosario Central and half representative Fernando Hidalgo) and was almost completely closed until Boca crossed his path.
Boca Juniors club president Daniel Angelici, next to the coach Julio Falcioni, met with the player and apparently he was the same financial offered but better in sporting challenges.
Burdisso said he was going to take a few days to evaluate both proposals but sources of Casa Amarilla say the player already would be chosen the Boca proposal.
Consequently, the authorities of River broke institutional relations with the club Boca Juniors.
