Former Central Bank President Martin Redrado responded the criticism by President Cristina Kirchner, giving an economic analysis of the hot topics of today’s Argentina.
“The President surprised us every day with a calling to change the facts of reality. I’m surprised the degree of confusion. She refers to a survey and confused with my own personal positions. My role is not to make projections, but to create public policy,” the economist said.
“The President is tied to the past, wants to create a new story. Now she needs dollars to not have these restrictions that generate a huge cost to the production and trade.
“Argentina is now in recession and now she clears with her elbow what she subscribed in 2009.
“There were arguments because the President did not want to use dollars to stabilize the economy. Now she can not protect depositors and is yearning for the 2009 when we successfully passed four wringing exchange without restrictions or costs to Argentine companies. This will not happen now,” explained Redrado.
