The strike of bus drivers ended

Argentina, July 19, 2012

Finally, the delegates of UTA resolved to end the strike started last night, after the Ministry of Labor issued a resolution that determines to increase the amount agreed last week.

As explained by the Labor Minister Carlos Tomada, “we issued a resolution for the increase of the wage, now there is a normal service.”

The national government intervened in the conflict that had left hundreds of families stranded in different terminals in the country through the winter holidays.

Tomada asked, once again, that both unionists and employers must exhaust all avenues of negotiation to avoid reaching these trouble spots, especially in essential services related to transportation.
