Young survives the drop of 120 meters following the failure of his parachute (video)
Russia, July 4, 2012
A young Russian man was about to jump from the top of a high voltage electrical tower with a height of at least 120 meters when something failed and fell into the void.
The sequence, carried out in Konakova, Russia, was shot by one of his friends. The images show the excitement and adrenaline that the young man felt before the jump.
After several attempts, finally he jumped, but something went wrong and the parachute did not open as was expected. His body struck the floor covered with snow, creating a hole in the ground.
The other young man could only watch from the top of the pylon helplessly. He waited a few seconds to see if his friend could react but nothing happened and then started down in despair.
Miraculously, the boy survived the fall because the snow cushioned his fall. He was even able to walk again after three months of rehabilitation, after fracturing the vertebrae, pelvis and legs.
