The Olympics of London 2012 presented its official song

England, June 27, 2012

One month after the start of the 2012 London Olympics, the organization of the event featured the official song. It was composed by the British trio Muse and is called “Survival”.

The song is on the last album of the band and will sound when athletes enter the stadium and during international television broadcasts. The band, led by Matt Bellamy, was formed in 1994 and has sold 15 million albums worldwide.

“I had the Olympics in mind when I wrote it, because it is the conviction and determination to win,” Bellamy said to local media.
