Haas defeated Federer in the final of the ATP of Halle

In a close game the German Tommy Haas defeated Roger Federer 7-6 (5), 6-4 in the final and won the championship of Halle, as a preparation for the Grand Slam at Wimbledon.
Hass, 34, participated in this event by invitation and got a title on the ATP circuit after three years.
Federer was going for his sixth title at Halle, but could not get it after losing against the German. Federer had already won the Masters 1000 Madrid, Rotterdam, Dubai and Indian Wells this year.
The Halle tournament is one of five ATP circuits that takes place on grass, two weeks before the start of Wimbledon, and distributes 663,750 euros in prize money.
