Billionaire Carlos Slim bought 8.4% of YPF

As reported by the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) U.S., Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim bought 8.4% of YPF shares on the NYSE.
On this day, the oil company of Argentina reported that “the most succesful Mexican businessman in the world, Carlos Slim, bought 8.4% of the shares of YPF, initiating a long-term investment in one of the most important companies in the sector of hydrocarbon in Latin America. “
The members of the pool that made the purchase indicated that “come to YPF as we see a solid company with good growth potential.”
Meanwhile, the head of YPF, Miguel Galuccio, noted that “the incorporation of Mexican businessman Slim to the company is a clear signal to international financial markets.”
