We remember the birth of Leopoldo Lugones

Today we remember the birth of the writer, poet, essayist, journalist and politician Argentine Leopoldo Lugones, who was born on June 13, 1874, in the town of Villa Maria del Rio Seco, in the nort of the province of Cordoba.

His mother taught Leopold how to write the first few letters and was responsible for training Catholic demanding.

He attended high school at the Colegio Nacional de Monserrat, in Cordoba, where he lived with his maternal grandmother. In 1892 his family moved to that city and he made his first experiences in journalism and literature.

At that time, in Buenos Aires, his literary controversy generated by its political leadership gets stronger ideological shifts throughout his life, to socialism, liberalism, conservatism and fascism.
