Ronald Poppo, the victim of the cannibal from Miami, Rudy Eugene, is slowly recovering after being treated in the Jackson Memorial Hospital, where doctors try to reconstruct his face.

Poppo, according to hospital sources, is stable, in good spirits, but they made it clear that the man has an indefinite period of recovery ahead.

In addition, the hospital released pictures of Poppo, after three surgeries. Doctors revealed that the man has damaged 50% of the face especially on the top.

The victim of the cannibal from Mimai could be blind as his right eye is covered by grafting skin from his forehead and the left is “virtually destroyed”.

Rudy Eugene attacked Poppo on May 26 on the ramp of a bridge in downtown Miami, apparently under the influence of a drug. Eugene ate part of Poppo’s face and ended up dead after police shootings.
