Racing defeated River through the penalties and goes to the final against Boca. Meanwhile, River was eliminated from the Argentine Cup. This left behind illusion of a final with arch-rivals, both for the Millionaires as well as for the Xeneizes. Now the team of Almeyda will concentrate efforts to return to the first division of Argentine football.
