The prosecutor requested Ottavis’s cell phone

Marcelo Romero, the prosecutor that follows the cause of bribes for legislators in the Chamber of Deputies of the Buenos Aires province, said he will ask the deputy Ottavis his cell phone, to determine if he has received a message that warned of a 150-thousand dollars cash to vote in favor of the tax reform.

“The Deputy Arata, one of those involved in the alleged bribery, came to my office. Now the thing is to establish whether if it was committed a crime. What we have so far are the statements of members who say that there is a picture showing the information, from the newspaper Clarin, and obviously we cannot do Justice only with this information” said the magistrate on the radio.

He added “if it is true, it would be a serious offense. We have to investigate the mailboxes, where these messages are recorded”.
