Argentina, June 2, 2012
Anibal Fernandez said through radio statements that Guillermo Moreno, Secretary of Internal Trade, met with entities of the exchange market, achieving an agreement to raise the legal dollar to $ 5.10 pesos. The intention is to curb the rising dollar and the disparity between the two.
“There was a discussion yesterday with money exchange houses and it was agreed that on Monday the dollar would be open to no more than $ 5.10, which would have some logic because always in the homes of change the U.S. currency has a different value from the official” said the senator.
Speaking to Radio Mitre, Anibal Fernandez said “With this agreement, we’ll return to a degree of normality, preventing such an irresponsible speculation.”
The sale of the counter currency closed yesterday with a rise of five cents, positioning to $5.59, while the officer continued steady to $ 4.49.
