The ruling block in the Lower House rejected the creation of a commission to investigate the Ciccone case, where it is involved the Vice President Amado Boudou.

The proposal was sponsored by the UCR party, but the ruling did the rejection, reaching the majority of the votes.

“We will not support it,” said Congressman Agustín Rossi, while the vote by show of hands of the ruling lawmakers managed to win and so reject the motion by the UCR.

However, the head of radicalism in the Lower House, Ricardo Gil Lavedra, said, “At each regular meeting here, we will ask to approve the formation of the bicameral, to clarify what happened in relation to the printing company”.

Gil Lavedra said the UCR had called “the creation of a bicameral commission, not to replace the function of justice, but to exercise legislative and find out why control mechanisms of Argentina had failed.”
