These are just some of the weird and wonderful creatures discovered last year.
Unknown to science were discovered in remote parts of the world and no records have been glimpsed by humans in the past.
These ten were selected from more than 200 new species nominated by an international committee hoping to draw attention to the plight of wildlife.
The Sazima Tarantula is a iridescent blue spider found in Brazil.
The amazing jellyfish Tamoya ohboya, with long tentacles of red-white and abeautiful tail.

The “sneezing” monkey, an exotic creature who hides his head in his lap during rainy days.
The fungus ”SpongeBob” is another new discovery, was named due to the famous cartoon.
