The UBA will implement mandatory solidarity work for students as of 2013

As of the academic year of next year, the students of the UBA will have to “enforce a minimum of 40 hours of mandatory community service or joint education throughout the race and related knowledge” about “vulnerable areas”.
Hallú Ruben, dean of the UBA, announced the change and stated that for those who started the race before this modification activity is optional.
“They have to make a minimum number of hours of community service or education for development, apply knowledge and to learn,” said Hallú, adding that the activity “must be developed in contact with the social and popular sectors.”
