There are great expectations for a meeting at the Ministry of Labour, including delegates from the subway, representatives of Metrovías and perhaps some government official of Mayor Mauricio Macri.

The goal is to unlock the wage dispute last week knocked out subway service, affecting millions of users. If negotiations fail today, a new 72-hour strike would take place this week.

Representatives of the Association of Subway Workers and Premetro (Agtsyp), along with those of UTA, expect the presence of an official from the City government.

The meeting is scheduled for eleven o’clock and the Ministry of Labour said it would be to “unlock the conflict that has arisen around the joint negotiations of subway workers.”
