Argentina, May 20, 2012
Pablo Schoklender, who spent his second night in jail in Ezeiza, expressed today that “Bonafini asked to give his brother Sergio a land of four million dollars in Chaco” to buy his silence in the cause.
In his testimony in front of the Federal Judge Norberto Oyarbide, Pablo Schoklender said that the words were spoken in a meeting at the home of Bonafini with several witnesses who are also defendants in the case involving diversion of public funds.
So he said that “it was ordered to “sell” a land to his brother to buy his silence in the cause”.
Such land would be acquired by Sergio Schoklender but finally was purchased with name of Pablo. The idea was to install one of the factories of the company Meldorek.
But the process never materialized. According to the newspaper Clarín, the transaction was going to be “paid” by Sergio with a department where some mothers of Plaza de Mayo sleep. The lands ended finally in the hands of the government of Chaco.
