Prison guard killed when trying to stop an assault.

A noncommissioned officer of the Federal Penitentiary Service, of 38 years old, who was off duty, and was custodian of a refrigerated truck, was killed by criminals in the town of Ingeniero Budge, in Lomas de Zamora.

The officer fought against three criminals who fled after shooting him and remain as fugitives.

The incident occurred this morning when the officer went with another man who witnessed the attempted assault.
