Sergio Schoklender arrested

Foundation Mothers of Plaza de Mayo former representative Sergio Schoklender, was arrested after questioning before a judge, as part of the case in which it is investigated the diversion of public funds for housing construction in the “Sueños Compartidos” program.
Schoklender said before entering the courts in Comodoro Py that he would “declare all he knew.”
Judge Norberto Oyarbide questioned the former representative of Mothers and according to the last minutes reports the judge had ordered his arrest.
The investigation focused on the economic information of Schoklender recently added to the cause, who detected inconsistencies between the reported income, expenses, bank statements and personal property.
In addition, Heritage Research Division of the Federal Police provided test reports where Schoklender assets increased by $ 900,000 between 2007 and 2009.
It is a very important precedent, given the numerous inquiries to be carried out in the coming days against people suspected of participating in the diversion of public funds.
In fact, one of those inquiries will feature the daughter of Mothers president Hebe de Bonafini, who is accused of having bought a house with such funds.
