Tantric Ritual: Girl buried alive by her father

According to the newspaper ‘Hindustan Times’, “Pilkhuwa police in India arrested the father and the uncle of a baby of two months as they tried to bury her alive, to fulfill a tantric ritual.” 

The ritual advised to do this to have a male child son.

According to police, “they intervened in time as an employee of the crematorium in the town saw the two men digging a pit and they were about to bury a body that was moving.” “It was a living girl, wrapped in a blanket, crying.”

The note explained that “When the police arrived they found that it was a tantric ritual, performed by the father and the uncle of the girl, whose goal was to have a son, and achieve prosperity in the family.”

The baby, in critical conditions, was taken immediately to hospital. The two men were arrested for attempted murder.

The tantric guru, who recommended the ritual, is missing.

In India there is still a belief that ‘the birth of a girl is an economic misfortune for the family’.
