Argentine cartoonist Carlos Loiseau, better known as Caloi, dies at age 63 after a long battle against cancer.
He was born November 9, 1948, and was the creator of the legendary character of Clemente.
Clemente began to be published in the newspaper Clarín in 1973. He was an armless yellow guy, with horizontal stripes around his body, highly critical of the socio-economic reality of Argentina.
He was a cartoon like Mafalda, able to reflect one side of the Argentine.
Caloi also led to the television the show “Caloi en su tinta”, dedicated to the dissemination of film animation.
