Demonstrations to request the decriminalization of marijuana in Plaza de Mayo

Today takes place the global marijuana march, which was originated in 1999 in the U.S. and has an impact in Argentina since 2006. The slogan is “decriminalization now.”
Protesters demonstrate since 12 pm in the City of Buenos Aires on Plaza de Mayo in front of Congress. It was also prepared a stage and will be held an event in the afternoon.
The demonstrations also take place in La Plata, Bahia Blanca, Córdoba, Formosa, Bariloche, Comodoro Rivadavia, Ushuaia and El Bolson.
They demand an end to the arrests and prosecutions for non-commercial marijuana growers and users for drug possession, state authorization of medicinal and industrial uses of cannabis and for a law of public attention, free and universal problems related to drug use.
