The dismissal of former president Fernando de la Rua by the repression carried out in the 2001 crisis was ratified by the National Chamber of Criminal Appeal.
The complaint and the prosecution had filed two appeals to review that ruling, but both were rejected by the Court.
The dismissal was issued by Federal Judge Claudio Bonadio in investigating the cause of what happened on December 19 and 20, 2001, dates on which five people were killed near the Obelisk and Plaza de Mayo.
The former president was accused of “killing and injuries inflicted” by the death of Diego Lamagna, Marcelo Riva, Carlos Almiron, Alberto Marquez and Gustavo Benedetto.
Meanwhile who do go to trial for these crimes are: former Federal Police chief Ruben Santos and former Security Secretary Enrique Mathov.
