Peggy McAlpine, of 104 years old, has two children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and jumped paragliding from a peak of 2,400 meters in northern Cyprus.
The old lady is about to enter the Guinness Book of Records for the second time in five years as the oldest person to participate in this sport.
Mrs. McAlpine reached the heavens five years ago but was overcome by an American of 101 years old.
The woman said to the Sunday Express: “I enjoyed every minute of it. It was better than last time. I’d like to do it. “
It was recorded on video and posted on YouTube. After the jump, McAlpine celebrated with a glass of champagne.
The lady, who uses a wheelchair, is waiting for the record that was confirmed by Guinness World Records officials.
The last record was surpassed by Mary Allen Hardison 101-year-old in Utah on April 14 in the Kyrenia mountain range near the castle of St. Hilarion.
Peggy said, “I love the heights from an early age.” And that “first taste of extreme sports was at age 80 when her grandchildren talked about it.”
Angela Gokasan, company Highline Air Tours, told the Sunday Express:
“Peggy completed her second flight with the pilot Gokasan Ozgur, who was also the pilot on the first time.”
