“Thanks for letting me win this time,” Nadal said to Djokovic

Nadal beat Djokovic  6-3, 6-1 after the Serb has won in the last seven finals of tournaments. This time it was the Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo, where Spanish is the champion for the eighth time.

“Thanks for letting me win this time,” Nadal joked when he received the award. It’s because there were seven finals or seven titles that were escaped from his hands.

“It was not my plan when I started in tennis win eight times Monte Carlo. I am very happy with how I played the last few games and especially in the final victory, ” the Spanish added.

“It is very important to start with a good foot on land, this title gives me great confidence, especially to win a major tournament final after so many losses. Monte Carlo is always a special tournament,” Nadal said.
