Brazil president Dilma Rousseff said that her country does not interfere in the affairs of other nations in reference to the nationalization of YPF.

“I am telling the Minister (of Energy, Edison) Lobao, Brazil does not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries. Interfere in any way, nor will issue opinions or value judgments,” said the president.

Argentina asked to Brazil that Petrobras increased investment in the country and Dilma replied on this point: “Brazil was a country that never refused to help anyone, but it depends on what we ask.”

The head of the National Petroleum Agency of Brazil, Haroldo Lima, had previously supported the nationalization of YPF.
