The amazing videos of a solar flare on April 16

An amazing solar flare erupted yesterday from the Sun’s northeastern limb. It was fortunately picked up by NASA cameras that reproduced the phenomenon later on Earth.

The explosion sent an arcing jet of super-heated plasma into space, not a place you’d want to be near to though.

It was captured by NASA¡s Solar Dynamics Observatory at about 5.45 PM yesterday, and it is reported to be one of the most spectacular flares ever seen.
