The prosecutor decided not to advance the cause against Boudou for “covering up” a crime

Today, were learned the news that the federal prosecutor Guillermo Marijuán called for the closure of the cause against vice-president Boudou for “covering up”. He had been denounced for not reporting to justice the alleged crimes of Righi which he said he knew for months. The prosecutor argued that “although the law requires him to report, does not impose a term to realize it.”

Boudou lawyers had complained that the law firm of Righi, the Genera Attorney of the Nation would have proposed to “oil relations with the courts in Comodoro Py”, an offense which is part of the figure of influence peddling in his favor.

Boudou was denounced by lawyer Ricardo Monner Sans and Graciela Ocaña deputies and Manuel Garrido, for failing to report these alleged facts to Justice

However, the prosecutor decided not to advance the cause, arguing that the Court does not put deadlines for reporting the commission of a crime.

Previously, Ocaña Gil Lavedra and Garrido had said that “the complaint must be made within a reasonable time and not within the official’s convenience.”
