Repsol: The Foreign Minister of Spain called the Ambassador of Argentina in that country

According to the Spanish Ministry: “The foreign minister, Juan Antonio Garcia-Margallo, summoned this morning the Ambassador of Argentina in Spain, Carlos Bettini, to show in the next few hours his ‘concern’ about the possible decision of President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner to expropriate YPF, Repsol’s subsidiary in Argentina. “
The meeting, held today at 13.00 (Spain time), was called for after the decision of the President to draft a law on expropriation of YPF and send it to Congress, though so far it has not formally been presented.
At the meeting, Spanish officials Bettini Ambassador conveyed the concern of the country about the situation of Repsol YPF.
They reiterated that they will “defend Spanish interests” anywhere in the world and to take measures to “any aggression” against the legal security of Repsol.
