Repsol “has not received any notification by the Argentine government regarding the expropriation of YPF” (view video)

According to what Repsol, the Spanish oil company, said in a statement to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), “we have not received any notification by the Argentine government regarding the expropriation of YPF.”

“Repsol has not received any notification by the Argentine authorities in relation to its shareholding in its subsidiary YPF”.

The Spanish newspaper ABC reported that “Repsol’s response comes after threats from the government of Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner to expropriate YPF. A day after Kirchner’s announcement, shares of the oil fell more than 1% at the opening of IBEX. “

“The government of Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner ordered on Thursday send a bill to Congress to expropriate more than half of Repsol YPF’s subsidiary where the company directed by Antonio Brufau owns 57% of the shares.”
