Axl Rose won’t attend the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony to Guns n’ Roses

United States, April 11, 2012

While there were rumors about a possible return of the band at the entrance to the institution, Axl Rose was responsible for dispelling them. The leader of Guns n ‘Roses not only denied a meeting when entering the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but also asked not to be recognized in the Hall, even in his absence.

The vocalist statement was published in the band’s official Facebook, where he said “I will not be present at the ceremony of induction into the Hall of Fame Rock And Roll 2012 and respectfully declined my induction as a member”.

The decision, said the controversial singer, is based on “a personal position, after discussions with the committee members and reading reviews of his former band mates.” In this regard, he added “without offending anyone, but the induction ceremony does not seem to be a place where I am loved or respected.”

However, he explained that he did not oppose to the former Guns to receive their award. And with respect to a future meeting he concluded “I spoke about it publicly. Nothing has changed.”
