A group of demonstrators of Villa 31, the neighborhood of Retiro, about 9:30 am, tried to cut Illia Highway, using tongs to fences and attacked the Metropolitan Police with stones, which managed to prevent blockage.
This same group was the one that weeks ago asked for school buses for their children. One of the women approached the police and threatened that they would make the cut with the children.
The Metropolitan rescued bags of nails, which were supposed to be shot at passing vehicles.
When the group of 31 residents of the town, who had camped at the site, were prevented from achieving the cut, they went to Avenida Castillo, which remained cut off, causing havoc with the long distance buses and trucks way to the port.
The protesters are demanding that the city government to pay a subsidy of 700 pesos.
