The reform to the Electoral Code will be treated on Deputies on Wednesday

On Wednesday the Chamber of Deputies will discuss the reform to the National Electoral Code, aiming to make changes regarding the way of voting, authorities and the format of the national identity card. 

On March 29, the initiative was discussed in the Commissions. The project obtained the approval of the committee on Constitutional Affairs and Justice, both in the hands of the FPV. There, the Interior Minister Florencio Randazzo approached to explain the new modality.

There will be added an innovation for the ID card in the future. The government continues to explore different ways to verify the citizen’s vote.

Moreover, it is possible that in Wednesday’s session could be discussed, if there is agreement between the blocks for treatment of an opinion on the project to establish the “femicide” in the Penal Code which has been discussed in committee on Criminal Legislation and Family of the House.
