Jujuy: A bus fell from a cliff and left 12 dead

Yesterday, at 6 pm, on Cuesta de Barcena on National Route 9 in the province of Jujuy, a bus that was traveling from Bolivia overturned and left 12 dead from different countries, among the dead were a baby and two minors.

About 50 people were injured and were taken to hospitals Pablo Soria, San Roque and Hospital Doctor Hector Quintana, located in the provincial capital, in San Salvador de Jujuy.

The bus of the company ‘Potosi’, left from Villazon, Bolivia, heading for the province of Buenos Aires.

According to the Commissioner General, Nazario Torres, “there were traveling five Argentines, and there were fifty people of Bolivia, one Canadian, one from Spain, three Frenchmen, a British, two Germans and three Peruvians. Between them were seven children. Obviously the driver lost control on the curve and fell three meters high in a depression.”
