Mexico: Children are murdered to venerate the ‘God of death’
March 31, 2012
Eight people were arrested in northern Mexico for the murder of 10 year olds for rituals.
Prosecutors in Sonora in the Northwest accused the suspects of belonging to the cult that worships the Holy Death.
The blood of the victims was poured around the altar of the ‘holy’, which appears as a skeleton holding a scythe, and wearing white robes.
The cult, which celebrates death, is growing rapidly in Mexico in the last 20 years, and now has about two million followers.
