38% of SMEs are not dependent on foreign products

In a report released by the Ministry of Industry, it was revealed that nearly 40% of small and medium companies stopped using imported parts in its production chain.
As indicated by the portfolio that goes Debora Giorgi, 45% of SMEs in direct competition with foreign companies, and 38% of them use domestic inputs.
“The growth of domestic industry from 2003 helped create 140,000 new small and medium businesses that now make strong value chains, replace imports, add value and create Argentine labor,” said the minister.
“In the last 8 years [SMEs] increased by 80% the value of exports, accounting for 15% of total foreign sales, level three times the American average SME participation in foreign sales.”
